Adverbial use of et. The word "et" in Latin can be used as conjunction, linking two things, just like the English word "and." But the word "et" can also be used adverbially, in which case it can be translated as "also," "even," "too," etc.
Adjectives used "adverbially." Since Latin does not have a strong adverbial system, it sometimes uses adjectives where we would use an adverb in English. The adjective modifies the subject of the verb, but it is best translated into English as an adverb.
